Famed 6th Street traded live music for live hoops November 4 when NBA legend Dennis Johnson made his Austin debut as head coach of the city's new NBA development league team, the Toros. It was an evening of highlights and hijinx as Johnson challenged business leaders, restaurant workers and college students to a game of h-o-r-s-e. Johnson, a three-time NBA champion and once the Finals MVP, clearly has not lost his touch - on the court or with a crowd. The Toros dance team and mascot, "Da Bull," also made their first appearances to complete a fitting introduction for the Toros inaugural season.
